Job Description
Solidus is searching for a Java and Matlab Software Engineer.

This position will support the maintenance, and development of tools to perform analysis for algorithm evaluation, and advanced concept prototyping, and system studies.  The work will be within a focused and multidisciplinary team to understand critical sensor detection capabilities and missile flyout modeling and performance analysis. The maintenance and continued development of critical analysis tools will be an integral element of job duties. As the project continues it is expected the engineer will continue to support tool and algorithm development as well as system analysis tasks in response to sponsor tasking. This may include an increased independent role in algorithm development, prototyping, and analysis.
- US Citizen and able to obtain a Secret DoD Security Clearance
- MS in Electrical Eng., Mechanical Eng., Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related areas. Additional 3 years minimum experience or a BS plus 5 years minimum experience required
- Must be able to work in a multidisciplinary team and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Java and MATLAB
- Strong oral and written communication skills and must be able to present findings/results to staff and Management
- Experience in Python is preferred
- A background in radar data analysis and missile guidance and control is desired
