Job Description
Solidus is searching for an Electro-Optical Algorithm Software Engineer.

A research engineer is needed to engage in the prototyping of advanced algorithms in applied image processing, and the execution of analysis and studies. The company has a large body of in-progress software and research across a number of technologies for which the engineer will be responsible for maintaining, extending, and fully understanding.


Requirements:
- US Citizen and an Active Secret Clearance is desired.  Able to obtain a Secret Clearance is a must
- PhD plus 5 years minimum experience or a MS degree with 8 years minimum experience

Specific experience necessary for this role:
- EO camera image conditioning and color correction
- Low-signal mover detection and tracking in visible infrared images
- Image and video compression algorithms, standards and analysis
- Tone mapping ad non-uniformity correction for wide-dynamic-range infrared imaging
- Bayesian target tracking in low-signal imagery
- Neural-net classification
