Job Description
Solidus is searching for an Embedded Software Engineer.

The engineers primary role in this position will be to:
1) write, simulate, and synthesize DSP firmware code to specifications provided by staff
2) verify DSP functionality and timing closure, and
3) support integration of developed DSP firmware into the system and help the Integration and Test team identify and resolve any firmware related issues
 
Requirements:
- US Citizen and able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
- PhD plus 5 years minimum experience, or MS plus 8 years minimum experience
- Must be a knowledgeable embedded programmer with hands-on experience of at least one of the following devices:  Analog Devices Digital Signal Processor (DSP), ARM processor, Xilinx Microblaze
- Must be able to program in a variety of languages including C, C++ and assembly
- Should have experience with signal processing and wireless communications to assist in all phases of hardware design and verification
- Must be able to program in MATLAB

Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with the various satellite communication systems, including waveform protocols and cryptographic functions
- Familiarity with contributing to, operating, and troubleshooting large testbed implementations
