Job Description
Solidus is searching for a Systems Engineer with ground operations (payload or spacecraft) experience.  The main work is to oversee payload ground station operation to verify operations run smoothly and any issues are worked in a timely manner.  The work will be performed in El Segundo CA.

Responsibilities include:
- Oversight responsibility of the ground subcontractor
- Act as liaison between ground subcontractor and end customer 
- Organize and drive any payload operation anomalies during payload on orbit operations
- Provide technical direction for on orbit mission support
- Support payload anomalies and recommend alternate operating techniques to continue to maximum mission utilization. 
- Provide support to payload level mission management and mission planning
- Participate in all flight operations 
- Support in-flight operations, including nominal, critical, contingency and on-call support
- Support off-line evaluation of the payload in-flight performance

- US Citizenship and Active Top Secret / SCI Clearance
- BS in an Engineering discipline, MS preferred
- Minimum of nine years of related experience in integration and test of electro-optical payloads for aerospace & military defense applications
