Job Description
Solidus is searching for a Mechanical Engineer.

Work Scope:
 
1) Coordination with experts from multiple science disciplines to achieve a set of design requirements based on program goals. 
2) Logical engineering system design and down selection, justification.
3) Rapid prototyping and testing of system designs to enable spiral development
4) Integration of mechanical and electrical systems to demonstrate fully functional products.
Requirements:
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
- MS OR BS in mechanical or equivalent engineering discipline
- At least 10 years of applicable experience

Experience with:
- Rapid prototypinig
- Custom hardware development
- Design tradeoff analysis
- Solidworks
- Design of mechanisms/actuators and electromechanical packaging
- 3D printing
- Technology development
- Planning and organizing skills
- Strong team player
- Metal and plastic fabrication and assembly experience preferred
