Job Description
Solidus is searching for a Radar Data Analyst.

The Engineer will contribute to various efforts related to the development and anchoring of radar phenomenology models and the verification and validation of radar simulations.  Responsibilities also include Ballistic Missile Defense System testing including preparing radar sensors for collection of data on ballistic missile flight tests, development and testing of sensor simulations, training of radar operators, test execution support and post mission analysis of collected data.  The position requires occasional deployments to test sites to support training; mission execution and on-site quick look data analysis.

Job Functions

The engineer will conduct analysis of sensor data from both real world radar collections and compact range measurements.  This analysis combined with the output from predictive tools will be used to develop high fidelity models for use in BMD testing.  The engineer will design target models using CAD tools to support analysis tasks and will run radar cross section prediction codes and toolsets to support threat engineering/assessment. The subcontractor will also develop realistic simulations and train radar operators in preparation for upcoming events.  Some travel is required for training and test execution.

- US Citizen and an Active Secret Clearance
-  An MS degree in Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or other STEM field and 5 years of experience.  Alternatively, a BS degree and 8 years of experience will suffice
- A background in electromagnetic modeling is required as well as significant (2+ years) experience in MATLAB
- Must have experience with Linux or Unix operating systems

Skills Preferred:
- Significant experience with RCS prediction tools such as Xpatch and Method of Moments codes
- Antenna design/modeling experience
- Experience with IR modeling is highly desired
- CAD experience (preferably Rhinoceros)
