Job Description
Solidus is searching for a Principal Level Test Engineer to be a member of the Air Force Modeling and Simulation Training Toolkit engineering team. 

General Description:  
The Test Engineer will Provide testing expertise in the support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software/hardware applications.  

Responsibilities to Include:
- Directs and/or participates in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design and test tools selection
- Responsible for ensuring that the test design and documentation support all applicable client, agency or industry standards time lines and budgets
- Responsible for ensuring that testing conclusions and recommendations are fully supported by test results, and project managers are fully informed of testing status and application deviations from documented user requirements
- Lead the on-site support of AFMSTT Air Force and Joint exercise and events worldwide
- Provide in-plant testing; JLVC, JLCCTC, BLCSE, FOM testing; Hanscom Collaboration and Innovation Center (HCIC) testing; Security; IEs, VEs, OAs, and pre-ASCCE and ASCCE testing 
- Support the AFMSTT engineering help desk
- Work may involve testing conducted at customer location 

Requirements:
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's In Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 6 years experience at demonstrably increasing levels of responsibility, with 3+ years experience in systems testing
- GUI graphical user interface / human factors experience
- Expert level Unix experience
- Familiarity with DI2E and/or affiliated tools (Atlassian suite, e.g., Confluence, JIRA)
- Experience with GiT version control

Additional Requirements:
- Must work well as part of a team and have excellent communication skills 
- Must have a working knowledge of DoD test procedures and their governing regulations and requirements
- Ability to manage and lead in a lab testing environment
- Ability to write test plans for manual and automated testing 
- Must be able to work with system users who may not be knowledgeable in test procedures and assist in user acceptance testing 
- Two (2) or more years of experience supporting military training events/exercises utilizing simulation-based training systems
- Ability to build test data sets and performs Manual Systems Acceptance Tests according to approved test plan 
- Experience in the development of test scenarios and providing support for User Acceptance Testing 
- Experience in writing test summaries and test problem reports 
- Ability to apply approved technical approaches to testing to ensure that applications are evaluated in an analytical and systematic manner 
- Experience in assisting developers in creating and maintaining automated test scripts
