Job Description
Solidus is searching for a Radar/RF Hardware Systems Engineer.

A Radar / RF hardware and systems engineer is needed in designing, building, and integrating advanced HF and microwave radar systems.  The ideal candidate would have a broad background with relevant system design, but would also be capable of diving deep into one or more of the various aspects of design realization.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a small team of engineers to design, architect, fabricate, and test next-generation radar and electronic warfare systems in a rapid prototyping environment.
- US Citizen and able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.  An Active Secret/Top Secret Clearance is desired
- PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field plus five years minimum experience.  In lieu of a PhD, an MS degree in the same areas with a minimum of 8 years of directly related experience will be considered
- 4 years or more of relevant design experience, hands-on system realization and field testing of HF and microwave radar systems
- Strong familiarity of RF component design, analysis, fabrication and troubleshooting
- Strong familiarity with RF laboratory equipment including waveform generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and network analyzers
- Must have good organizational skills with the ability to complete assignments independently and in a team environment
- Effective communication with colleagues, sponsors and other research sites

Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with industry standard electromagnetic antenna modeling software
- Familiarity with industry standard circuit design software and PCB layout
- Desire and ability to participate in field testing which may involve travel
