Job Description
Solidus searching for a Development and Testing Embedded Software Engineer.

This position is for a software engineer to support the development and testing of embedded software for a large scale communications system demonstration.  Development will be performed in a disciplined collaborative environment, employing modern programming practices.

Work Scope:
- Develop real-time, embedded software components of a complex communication system
- Work collaboratively on software development team to meet program milestones
- US Citizen and an Active Secret Security Clearance
- PhD plus 5 years minimum experience, or MS plus 8 years minimum experience. Computer Engineering degree preferred
- Familiarity and experience developing with real-time, embedded operating experience
- Experience developing with resource constrained systems and low level Linux in addition to POSIX-compliant application layer programming
- Experience with C, C++ and object-oriented development
- Experience with software lifecycle processes and their associated tools, such as software modeling with Unified Modelling Language (UML), revision control, and issue tracking
- Experience interfacing with firmware components (FPGAs)

Skills Preferred:
- Experience with communication signal processing protocols
- Experience in development of resource constrained platforms
- Familiarity with MATLAB
