Job Description

Solidus is searching for a junior level Radar System Integration and Test Engineer to support a wide variety of radar and EW prototyping programs. Primarily the role will be to support laboratory system integration efforts. The typical radar testbed system is comprised of wide variety of sub-systems such as antennas, RF converters, A/D and D/A converters, FPGA?s, networking hardware, real-time control hardware, high speed data recorders, and control processors. 

The successful candidate will join a group that is actively involved in the development of advanced technologies for airborne radar applications within the mission area of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR). A major component of this effort is the development of advanced hardware prototypes and testbeds. To support these hardware development efforts, the group is in need of an electrical engineer with a broad background in software and mixed digital / RF systems integration.

- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance; ability to obtain a Top Secret preferred
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- At least 1 year of applicable experience 
- Familiarity with RF / Digital systems such as radars / EW receivers
- Python 
- RF Test equipment familiarity (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers)
- General Hardware debug skills (PCB level)
- Sufficient knowledge of development of advanced hardware prototypes and testbeds to make performance measurements and trouble-shoot problems
- Ability to write scripts, and GUI's to control, initialize and debug the system

Additionally Desired:
- FPGA Design (Xilinx a plus)
- Familiarly with software defined radios
- Familiarity with embedded microcontrollers
