Public Job Description
Job Duties:
- Maintains quality control and handles infection control on all products accordingly by following organization standards; clean, disinfect and performing sterilization on products in order to prepare them for customer use; maintain sterilization supplies to ensure that they are not depleted/outdated.

- Perform preventative maintenance and routinely inspect medical equipment to look for signs of leaks, worn parts or loose parts and/or other indications of disrepair; disassemble worn or malfunctioning equipment and remove, repair and replace defective parts using such things as hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, etc.

- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area. Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; assisting in custodial work including but not limited to sweep, mop, bathrooms and/or truck clean out complying with procedures, rules, and regulations and organizational policies and procedures.

- Assist in gathering and tracking information through reporting by inputting data required such as sterilization, maintenance, and repair records; record results of sterilization processes and equipment wear and tear; keeps track of what supplies and inventory items are on hand and those that have been ordered conferring with supervisor on proper item and part levels needed;.

- Updates job knowledge by participating in required training; study technical manuals and/or attend training sessions to maintain current knowledge.

- Accomplish company and organizational mission by contributing to team effort and handling other duties as assigned by superiors assisting in the overall success of the company. 

Job Qualifications:
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.

- Manual dexterity required for operating tools and computers

- Practiced documentation skills.

- Ability to work effectively and independently with limited direction; self-starter

- Knowledgeable of the equipment use and mechanics. Possesses a basic mechanical aptitude.

- Makes effective use of database, spreadsheet, and word-processing software to prepare statistical and written reports for management.

- Trained in hands-on equipment maintenance.

- Works productively with others in a team environment.

- Proficient at in-bound, pick, pack, load, and inventory control.

- Plans work. Sets goals and outlines tasks to achieve them.

- Attention to detail.

- Manages time effectively and prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines.

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent; Mechanical experience preferred.
