A Sizewise Talent Acquisition Specialist is an individual who can make a connection with a candidate at first contact; maintain a proactive and strategic approach to sourcing openings and who helps enhance our organization's reputation.  A Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for filling nationwide positions with the best fit candidate; tackling hard to fill roles with an experienced approach and actively promoting company wide requisitions through social media avenues. 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Actively participates in the full talent acquisition cycle for mid-level roles as well as other roles as assigned. Actively source for candidates as needed. Arrange for advertising or posting of job vacancies through various avenues of sourcing. Assists in HR public relations by answering questions from the public regarding talent acquisition such as employment possibilities, consideration and selection in a responsive and customer-focused way. Refer applicants for specified jobs and assist in evaluating applicants by reviewing job requirements and applicant qualifications with hiring managers to discover staff requirements; assist hiring managers with interviewing applicants based on qualifications by conducting initial prescreen via phone, Skype and/or in person interview; provide a list of qualified candidates to hiring manager; maintain frequent communication with hiring manager throughout talent acquisition process. Update current ATS appropriately throughout the process to ensure proper tracking and reporting as well as timeliness in filling the requisition. 

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations by providing overall support in the talent acquisition cycle including gathering, maintaining and processing necessary documentation. Processes all talent acquisition-related paperwork maintaining confidentiality of personnel data. Maintain and monitor documentation of all potential candidates through database, ATS, etc. Arrange, prepare and process all candidate pre-employment assessments per company standards and record results accurately minimizing errors; following up with hiring managers to ensure appropriate timeframe for completion and minimizing delays; confirm start of all candidates upon completion of satisfactory pre-employment checks.
  • Assist with management of TA social media platforms ensuring consistent branding and appropriate postings. Promote and manage internal referral programs ensuring they are promoted within each branch as well as thru social media platforms. Actively research and propose additional platforms and methods for identifying top talent. Handle hard to fill roles; research sourcing options; complete recruitment cycle. 
  • Ensure all managers and team members are well trained on the proper processes, policies and procedures and are able to use the system effectively, coaching individuals as necessary; mentor and act as a reliable source of information and advice for best recruitment practice
  • Contributes to team effort by acting as lead on HR related projects and handles all other duties as assigned by superiors in order to contribute to overall success of the company. Maintain knowledge and awareness of updates to talent acquisition methods.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelors Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience preferred
  • 2 years’ experience in similar/related role
  • Certified Internet Recruiter and/or Certified Social Sourcing Recruiter preferred
  • Experienced in handling the talent acquisition process.
  • Understanding of social media platforms and usage to attract passive candidates
  • Trained in the use of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); preferably Taleo Business Edition.
  • Ability to work well in team or individual environment
  • Able to multitask, prioritize assignments and complete projects within given deadline.
  • Knowledgeable of recruiting and legal aspects of hiring process as well as best practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels; verbal and written.
  • Has effective organizational skills. Keeps files and work area organized
  • Pays attention to detail. Approaches work in a meticulous and thorough manner.
  • Skilled at using database, spreadsheet, word-processing software, particularly those in Microsoft Office, to facilitate daily work and prepare reports.
  • Keeps organized and updated employee files.
  • Maintains security and confidentiality of employee information.
  • Conscientiously and methodically approaches work. Sees tasks through to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable with heavy outbound phone calls. Able to convey message and gather details effectively.
