In accordance with Child Protective Services Law (Act 33), adopted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, applicants for employment who will have to work with children in a residential or day care facility, must have clearance by Childline, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the FBI. Applicants who are employed by our educational facilities must undergo Criminal History and Childline clearances as required by Act 34. We require such clearances from all employees hired since January 1, 1986.

Also, in accordance with Act 169-96, applicants for employment or new employees hired after July 1, 1998 are required to undergo a criminal background check with the PA State Police, and if the applicant is not a resident of PA or has not been a resident of PA for the entire two years immediately preceding employment application, then in addition a report of Federal Criminal History record information must be obtained from the FBI through the PA Department of Aging. Applicants must also have clearance by Childline.

Offers of employment are conditional on results of post-offer medical examination as required by Pennsylvania Department of Welfare.
